Biagio (Max) Corvo was born in Italy in 1920. He arrived in the United States as a boy after his family was forced to flee Italy. Corvo went on to lead the Italian office of the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) during the Italian Campaign (1943-1945) in the Second World War.
William Corvo, Max’s son, shared his family’s immigration story in a heartfelt op-published by the Hartford Courant. The piece can be viewed here.
